Privacy Policy

This page describes how HardDrive.net (the “Site”) handles information about visitors. We try to keep this short and plain-English.
Information we collect
HardDrive.net does not directly collect, sell, or share personal information. We don’t run user accounts, newsletters, or comment forms that require sign-up.
We use a small number of third-party services that may collect anonymised information about your visit:
- Google Analytics 4 — collects aggregated, anonymised data about which pages are visited, where visitors come from (country, referring site), and what device/browser is used. We use this to understand what content is useful. No personally identifying information is sent to us.
- Amazon — when you click an Amazon link on this site, Amazon may set cookies to track that the referral came from us, so that we can be credited if you buy something. This is governed by Amazon’s privacy notice, not ours.
- Hostinger — our web host may log standard server access information (IP address, request time, user-agent) for security and operational purposes.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets a small set of cookies (typically _ga, _ga_*) to distinguish unique visitors. These cookies do not contain personally identifying information and expire after a maximum of two years.
You can block analytics cookies via your browser settings, an ad-blocker, or by enabling “Do Not Track.”
Affiliate links
HardDrive.net participates in the Amazon Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Most outbound product links on this site are Amazon affiliate links, marked as sponsored. When you click them and complete a purchase, Amazon may share a small portion of the sale with us. This costs you nothing extra and does not influence our ranking or recommendations.
Children
HardDrive.net is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information about minors.
Your rights
If you’d like the analytics service to forget about your visits, the simplest way is to clear your browser cookies. For EU/UK visitors covered by GDPR or California visitors covered by CCPA, you have the right to know what data is held about you and to request deletion. Because we don’t directly collect identifying data, any such request would need to be made directly to Google or Amazon.
